The Japanese archipelago stretches in a long arc from north to south, changing its shape beautifully depending on the region and season. The Daisetsuzan mountain range, called the “Canopy of Hokkaido,” Senjyobashiki Curl, which spreads out at the foot of Mt. Hōken in the Central Alps of Nagano Prefecture, and Amami Oshima, a World Natural Heritage site located in the Tropical Islands of Japan and known as the “Galapagos of the Orient”.
